Background of our society and annual symposium

Since 1st organized in 1978 we have been active in academia of ME (medical electronics or medical engineering) in Ob & Gyn and related field in our country. Our cross-discipline activity today is extended to cover much more generality in these fields, including hosting and assisting many international academic meetings. In continuity of such 30 years of activity, our annual symposium last year dealt a novel aspect of view in emerging business- and/or social-crisis (or even collapsing) issues in our health care system. The issue(s) will be covered in this years' symposium too, in much extended standpoints of view, in shifting to cover issues on trans-generation transfer of knowledge, technology, skill and background philosophy. Our keyword this year may be "back to the basis" in broadest sense, which also will provide chances for young newcomers and starters to our field, too.

The Main Guest

We are to invite professor Dr. Konrad Hammacher, ancestor of our field, who in earliest days in our filed 40 years ago, explored, developed and established the basis of external fetal monitoring methods by fetal phonocardiography. What he established is the basis of our society, its continuity we enjoy now. Unfortunately he lives in another world today, his soul will be fully represented by Dr. Mrs.Monika Hammacher, his wife.
